Euan Byers made his Olympic debut at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games  as a member of the Team GB men’s curling team. They placed fifth after losing their play off match to Sweden.

Byers was also a member of the men’s curling team who won the World Championships in 2009.

Byers began curling at the age of 10, he took up curling because both of his parents curled along with his brother Stuart and sister Jan. His sister Jan has won the Scottish Ladies’ title. Byers is married to Jacqui Reid who also won the Scottish Juniors!

Byers retired in 2001 but was called back to action by Dave Murdoch. He is now a full time athlete and competes his off training at The SIS, Stirling and his one ice training at Lockerbie.

He is a fan of Manchester United, the Scottish rugby team and Andy.
