Nick Buckland is ice dance partner to Penny Coomes and they represented Team GB at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The Vancouver Games were their debut Games and they placed a credible 20th.

Buckland and Coomes went to the same school and are now both students are Nottingham Trent, where Buckland reads law.

Buckland and Coomes placed second at the British Championships 2009.

Buckland started ice skating at the age of three. His grandfather was Brian Grummitt, British Speed Skating Champion and his grandmother used to skate in ice shows!

Buckland also enjoys both golf and football and is a Nottingham Forrest supporter.
