Sarah Sauvey represented Team GB at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games in freestyle ski cross. The Vancouver Games were Sauvey first Olympic Winter Games, and she placed 34th.

Sauvey is a busy person. When not competing in international ski cross events, she works part time in a hospital and also as a personal assistant for a business. She’s also studying for a degree, but at the moment her entire focus is on achieving success at the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver.

Both Sauvey's parents are British, but she was brought up in Australia, and started skiing there at the age of three. She holds dual citizenship to Australia and Great Britain, but has long since declared her sporting loyalty to Team GB. An alpine skier for many years, she had a go at ski cross in 2005 and absolutely loved it. From then on, she has concentrated on that sport alone, achieving podium finishes in Europa Cup events and Australian continental cups.
