Tom Iveson represented Team GB in short track speed skating at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games. The Vancouver Games were Iveson's debut Olympic Winter Games. He placed 30th in the 1000m and was a member of the 5000m relay team which placed sixth.

Iveson took up short track at the age of 12 to improve his ice hockey skills. He is a former junior and senior British Champion.

He has broken both an ankle and fibia, each requiring ten weeks off training!

His sporting hero is Mark Cavendish because 'he backs up all his says with outstanding performances, under pressure and completely fatigued'.

Iveson is known to his teammates as Tommy Boy or Tommy on it and his favourite hobby is being a DJ.
